Upload Email Designs to Klaviyo With Claude
Connect Carvr to Claude in two minutes. Then ask Claude to upload any Figma frame or image to Klaviyo, Omnisend or Mailchimp, and get back a sliced, ready-to-send template with alt text.
In short: Claude can upload email designs to Klaviyo for you. Add Carvr as a custom connector in Claude with the URL below, sign in, and ask: “Upload this Figma frame to Klaviyo for Glow Co.” Carvr slices the design, writes alt text, uploads every section at 1200 px and builds the template. It works with Omnisend and Mailchimp too.
Connect Carvr to Claude
- In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, and click Add custom connector.
- Name it Carvr and paste the server URL:Name
CarvrURLhttps://mcp.carvr.ai - Click Connect, log in to Carvr, pick your account, and click Allow.
- For Figma designs, connect Claude’s Figma connector on the same page.
That’s it. On a Claude Team or Enterprise plan, an Owner adds Carvr once in Organization settings, then each person clicks Connect. Claude Code and API-token setups are on the API Reference.
What to Ask Claude
- “Upload this Figma frame to Klaviyo for Glow Co and name it BFCM Email 1.” followed by the frame link.
- “Upload these four frames to their brands, named after the frames.” with the links listed.
- “I’ve got our welcome email as a PNG. Send it to the Summer Co brand.” Claude replies with an upload link for the file.
- “Which brands can you upload to, and how many credits are left?”
What You Get in Klaviyo
- A drag-and-drop template in the brand’s Klaviyo account, named the way you asked, ready to use in a campaign or flow.
- Sections cut in the right places, between blocks, by the same AI slicer as the Carvr Figma plugin and web app.
- Sharp images. Every section is 1200 px wide, sharp on retina screens. A 600 px Figma frame is exported at 2x.
- Alt text on every image, written from what’s in it.
- Your brand’s footer and template styles, if you’ve set them in Carvr.
- Links back from Claude to the template list in Klaviyo and to the email in Carvr, where you can move a cut and update the template.
What You Can Upload
- Figma frames: paste the frame link. Claude exports it through its Figma connector, so the image never passes through the chat.
- Images and files: PNG or JPEG up to 15 MB, from Canva, Photoshop or anywhere else, dropped on a one-time Carvr upload link Claude gives you.
- Tall emails up to 25,000 px tall at 1200 px wide.
- Klaviyo, Omnisend or Mailchimp: each brand uploads to its own ESP.
Who Uses It
- Agencies with many brands work through a batch of designs and brands in one conversation.
- Teams already in Claude keep template building next to briefs, copy and planning.
- Workflows with other connectors: with Figma, ClickUp or Asana connected too, Claude can find the frame in a task and send it in one go.
Claude, Figma Plugin or Web App?
- Carvr in Claude: describe what you want and Claude uploads it. Best for batches and teams that work in Claude.
- Figma plugin: one click from inside Figma, with per-section links from your prototype. Figma plugin guide.
- Web app: upload a design from any tool and adjust the slices yourself. Slicing guide.
All three use the same pipeline, so the template comes out the same.
Sign-in, Security and Pricing
- Claude signs in with your Carvr login and never sees your Klaviyo, Omnisend or Mailchimp credentials.
- It creates templates only. It can’t send an email or change a template that already exists.
- Every connection is listed in your Carvr Profile under API Tokens, named after the person who connected it. Revoke it there to disconnect Claude.
- Included on every Carvr plan. Each design uses one credit, the same as the plugin or web app.
Not Supported Yet
- Links from Figma prototypes. Every section gets the same link, or none. The Figma plugin reads per-section links from your frame.
- Updating a template. Each upload creates a new template. The web app and plugin can update one in place.
- ChatGPT. The connector signs in through Claude. Other tools can use the Public API.
Questions About Uploading to Klaviyo With AI
Can AI upload an image to Klaviyo for me?
Yes. Add Carvr to Claude as a custom connector (https://mcp.carvr.ai), sign in, and ask Claude to upload a Figma frame or an image to a brand. Carvr slices the design into sections, writes alt text for each one, uploads the images to Klaviyo and builds a drag-and-drop template, then Claude replies with the links.
How do I upload a Figma design to Klaviyo with Claude?
Connect Carvr and Claude's Figma connector, then send Claude the frame link and the brand, for example "Upload this frame to Klaviyo for Glow Co and name it BFCM 1". Claude exports the frame from Figma at 1200 px wide and Carvr turns it into a Klaviyo template.
Will the images be sharp, or will Klaviyo get a blurry copy?
Sharp. Claude sends the design 1200 px wide, the same as the Carvr Figma plugin, and every section keeps that width, so it stays crisp on retina screens. A 600 px Figma frame is exported at 2x. Designs up to 25,000 px tall are taken whole, never shrunk to fit.
Can Claude upload an image I attach to the chat?
Yes. For an image that is not a Figma frame, Claude gives you a one-time Carvr upload link. Drop the PNG or JPEG there (up to 15 MB) and Claude uploads it to the brand.
Does it work with Omnisend and Mailchimp too?
Yes. Each brand on your Carvr account connects to Klaviyo, Omnisend or Mailchimp, and Claude uploads to whichever one that brand uses.
Which apps work with the Carvr connector?
Claude on the web, in the desktop and mobile apps, and in Cowork, on every plan, Free included, plus Claude Code. Other MCP clients that can send a header, such as Cursor or your own agent, can use an API token from your Carvr Profile.
Can ChatGPT upload images to Klaviyo with Carvr?
Not yet. The Carvr connector signs in through Claude. Any tool that can call an HTTP API can use the Carvr Public API with an API token instead.
Do I need to code or use a terminal?
No. Adding Carvr to Claude is a URL and a login, and after that you ask in plain language.
How much does it cost?
It is included on every Carvr plan. Each design Claude uploads uses one Carvr credit, the same as an upload from the Figma plugin or web app, and asking twice for the same design, brand and name never charges twice.
How is this different from Klaviyo's own AI connector?
Klaviyo's connector gives Claude access to your Klaviyo account. Carvr does one specific job: it takes a finished email design and slices it into a ready-to-send template, with the cuts between blocks, alt text on every image, and your brand's footer and template styles. You can use both in the same conversation.
Is it safe for my Klaviyo account?
Claude signs in with your Carvr login and never sees your Klaviyo, Omnisend or Mailchimp credentials. It can create templates but can't send an email or change a template that already exists, and you review the template in Klaviyo before it goes out. Each connection is listed in your Carvr Profile under API Tokens, where you can revoke it.
What does it not do yet?
It doesn't read click-through links from a Figma prototype (one link for every section, or none), and each upload creates a new template rather than updating one. The Carvr Figma plugin does both today.
